May 21, 2014-
So I made it back on today!!! Yay! I'm not a total flake when I say I'm going to do something. So our appointments went well. We were given the okay to go ahead and make the switch over to whole milk, with the assistance of pediasure (spelling on that one???). So over the next week I will be starting that process and I am excited to say that we will not miss that Elecare formula smell.
He is doing better than they could have hoped with the fact that other than some outside allergies we aren't finding any food allergies or anything yet. Though he wasn't really thrilled with the fact that he didn't have a nap until close to 1 pm. We had to have some labs drawn up, to see if we will need to be continuing his B12 shots.
And he has made so many major improvements in the last three months for development that the comprehensive care clinic was ecstatic as well. I can't upload any photos right now as my phone died, and now that it's on the charger, Brady thinks he needs it to play his Josh Groban station on pandora so he can sleep. Little stinker.

We Made It Through The Year
March 20, 2014-
Can you believe that we made it a whole year with our little Brady bug?! This time last year we weren't certain how long that little boy's life would last. But he is a true fighter, and fought his way from a near death experience to the beautiful little boy he is today. He had so much fun celebrating his birthday, with him... We went to Hogle Zoo, and let him see all the animals. Though truth be told he was much more interested in sight seeing all the other kids that were at the zoo. But he loved it and had fun.
I am trying to keep up with him, he isn't able to walk or crawl yet and you would think that he couldn't possibly be as active to keep a mom busy... but believe me he is. He is doing pretty well though, we are hopefully going to be off any high blood pressure medications by this time next year for him. Tomorrow is our big day, as well, for finding out whether or not the sweet little boy will be able to start whole milk- like a big boy. We are crossing our fingers and hoping very very hard that they will say yes... because if so here in a few months we will be able to say good bye to that g-tube.
We are pleased to announce as well that Brady will be an older brother to a little sister this fall. He is working very hard on being able to walk, or crawl by the time that she will be here. He knows it will help mom out, and I think that he wants to be a big kid and go run and play.
He has been a true miracle to watch throughout the entire year as he has been growing, from a pound and twelve ounces - into this little wonder that is 19 pounds of a happy, energetic little bundle of infant. I can't believe the things that he has had to go through and yet how he is almost always the happiest of people I know. I am so blessed to be this little man's mom.
I will try to hop on tomorrow and update you all, and maybe upload a few pictures and things so that you can enjoy them. My little monster is awake from his short nap and demanding that he be released from the confines of the crib prison. So we will say farewell and we will update you soon. Thanks for the patience.
