Can you believe that we made it a whole year with our little Brady bug?! This time last year we weren't certain how long that little boy's life would last. But he is a true fighter, and fought his way from a near death experience to the beautiful little boy he is today. He had so much fun celebrating his birthday, with him... We went to Hogle Zoo, and let him see all the animals. Though truth be told he was much more interested in sight seeing all the other kids that were at the zoo. But he loved it and had fun.
I am trying to keep up with him, he isn't able to walk or crawl yet and you would think that he couldn't possibly be as active to keep a mom busy... but believe me he is. He is doing pretty well though, we are hopefully going to be off any high blood pressure medications by this time next year for him. Tomorrow is our big day, as well, for finding out whether or not the sweet little boy will be able to start whole milk- like a big boy. We are crossing our fingers and hoping very very hard that they will say yes... because if so here in a few months we will be able to say good bye to that g-tube.
We are pleased to announce as well that Brady will be an older brother to a little sister this fall. He is working very hard on being able to walk, or crawl by the time that she will be here. He knows it will help mom out, and I think that he wants to be a big kid and go run and play.
He has been a true miracle to watch throughout the entire year as he has been growing, from a pound and twelve ounces - into this little wonder that is 19 pounds of a happy, energetic little bundle of infant. I can't believe the things that he has had to go through and yet how he is almost always the happiest of people I know. I am so blessed to be this little man's mom.
I will try to hop on tomorrow and update you all, and maybe upload a few pictures and things so that you can enjoy them. My little monster is awake from his short nap and demanding that he be released from the confines of the crib prison. So we will say farewell and we will update you soon. Thanks for the patience.
